The world’s first double-barreled semi-automatic pistol AF2011-A1
Presented officially by the Italian manufacturer Arsenal Firearms S.R.L.
Weapons do not kill people, but people themselves kill each other. And this new development is actually capable of killing twice as much as a conventional pistol. Manufacturers say it is the world’s first industrial double-barreled semi-automatic pistol. Official name: AF2011-A1. Caliber – 45th.
The AF2011-A1 was developed as a tribute to the legendary Colt 1911-A1. Despite the pedigree, the pistol’s manufacturer reports that any shooter accustomed to shooting 45 ACP will find the AF2011-A1 far more enjoyable and easier to handle. By the way, it was not designed to kill or harm people at all.

This weapon allows you to release the entire contents of the magazine (or rather two single-row magazines) within three seconds. The AF2011-A1 also stands out for its flexibility due to the fact that it contains many interchangeable parts from the mentioned Colt 1911-A1.
The AF2011-A1 pistol holds 16 bullets in .45 caliber. And, as they say, has a super-heavy killing power – which is not surprising. Two bullets are supposed to take down a bull.
1 Double-barreled pistol AF2011-A1 “Second Century”

Probably, many of you are familiar with the American Colt M1911, which has become a truly legendary pistol. Even those who are practically not interested in small arms and its history have heard about it . In the spring of 2012, Arsenal Firearms introduced an unusual model of the AF2011-A1 “Second Century” pistol to the market. It is unusual in that it has two trunks at once. AF2011-A1 is a double-barreled pistol. It was designed by the company’s engineers for the centenary of the legendary Colt 1911-A1 pistol.
It should be noted that Arsenal Firearms is a Russian-Italian joint venture. Its headquarters is in Russia, and production is located in our country, as well as in Austria and Italy. The most famous products of this private arms company are the already named AF2011-A1 double-barreled pistol and the Strizh automatic pistol, which is proposed for adoption by the Russian army. However, we will talk specifically about double-barreled development. It is reported that the Arsenal Firearms development team was able to create the AF2011-A1 “Second Century” pistol in just 6 months of intensive and fruitful work.
At the same time, the company’s specialists widely used stereolithographic modeling and computer 3D simulations of the model. As a result, an interesting double-barreled model of a 45-caliber pistol was born, which is industrial and is in demand among lovers of small arms. In fairness, it should be noted that the idea of combining two trunks, creating the so-called “spark” is not new. Even during the First World War, twin Maxim machine guns were used at the front, which were very effective against the first airplanes. All you have to know about the Double-barrel Arsenal AF2011
Also during the First World War, the Italian aviationdouble-barreled submachine gun Villar-Perosa. Such weapons do not cease to appear today. For example, the Israeli double-barreled automatic submachine gun “Shmemit” (“The Desert”), which is a twin, made of 2 standard infantry “Uzi”, which are able to shoot without human intervention, as soon as someone crosses invisible to human eye beam. A 5.56×45 mm double-barreled assault rifle by the Israeli company Silver Shadow also comes to mind, which looks very similar to two M16 assault rifles glued together.
There are also domestic developments, for example, the Soviet TKB-059, also known as the “3B device”, is a three-barreled experimental machine gun, which was created under a standard machine gun cartridge. This list could go on for quite some time.

It is worth noting that such “pairings” have only one goal – to increase the density of fire, that is, the ability to fire as many bullets at the target as possible at the same time while maintaining a sufficiently high accuracy characteristic of the standard “single-barrel version”. All you have to know about the Double-barrel Arsenal AF2011
Of course, this is not the most common way to increase the density of fire, but it is quite common. It is worth noting that the AF2011-A1 pistol also has a truly terrible lethal force. Two bullets fired from this pistol, having a total mass of 30 grams and striking at a distance of 2 to 10 cm from each other (this distance directly depends on the distance of the target from the shooter), can knock down a bull.

For one shot, the pistol simultaneously fires two .45 ACP caliber bullets (11.43×23 mm). The pistol is loaded with a 16-round magazine, which consists of 2 parallel magazines for 8 rounds, which are fastened together by a common base and inserted into the pistol grip as a whole. Surprisingly, anyone who has ever fired .45 ACP pistols is able to handle this unusual pistol. According to experts, the AF2011-A1 double-barreled pistol is not only pleasant to use, but also quite accurate.

Experts speak of the pistol very positively. Note its power and accuracy. So, from a distance of 13 meters, an experienced shooter will send all 16 bullets to an area the size of an ordinary orange, and from a distance of 25 meters – to a “melon”. The design of the pistol allows you to fire from each barrel in turn, and experts also note a fairly comfortable recoil of the pistol. Its advantage is the density of fire, the gun allows you to fire 16 powerful 45-caliber bullets at the target in just 3-5 seconds.
Double-barreled pistol AF2011-A1 incorporates a number of original parts. These include a single frame, a single bolt, a single lever fuse, a single firing pin with two triggers, a single magazine box cover with 2 sockets, a single pair of mainspring socket, special guide bushings, a single paired magazine latch, a side lever fuse and an open shutter handle. However, a more interesting feature of the pistol is the fact that the designers have tried to implement in it the maximum interchangeability of internal parts that are standard for the Colt M1911 pistol. Such parts include spring stops, sears, strikers, return springs, recoil springs and recoil spring bars, internal parts of the mainspring socket, magazine box, etc. All you have to know about the Double-barrel Arsenal AF2011

It’s a special gun, unique, and not only for the James Bond movie!
AF2011-A1 “Second Century” is the full name of the world’s first double-barreled self-loading pistol. This model is not some single instance, made for fun and exceptionally unique design. The gun is mass-produced and can be purchased with the appropriate permits.
AF2011-A1 “Second Century” was created by Arsenal Firearms. The authors of the model are two people – the Italian Nicola Bandini and the Russian Dmitry Streshinsky.
The first was responsible for the design study, the second was the author of a unique idea and design. The gun appeared only in the spring of 2012, as, in principle, the brand itself, but it was a well-thought-out step, so a whole series of unique and interesting weapons was immediately presented.
The authors do not hide the fact that they created the model in honor of the centenary since the appearance of the legendary pistol of the Colt M1911 system, developed by John Browning. Hence the name and there are similar markings, but for brevity, the model began to be called “Twenty Eleven”.
The gun even has a number of details that were copied from the legendary prototype. So, such nodes as sear, drummers, some springs, parts of the magazine, butt, sight are completely borrowed from the Colt M1911. On the other hand, “Twenty Eleven” is a unique weapon.
